LookLookLearn works to provide educational resources to those working with children. This includes activity packets based on a variety of well loved children's books. Activities focus on all areas of a child's development, from speech, language, and motor development, to social skills, game play and academics. Included are cooking and the arts, as well as links to videos Mr. Loren has made or finds effective for child development. LLL tries to do all the "activity shopping" for you! Follow us on social media as we work to grow, grow, GROW! Thank you for visiting!

LookLookLearn is proud to present Loren's newest children's books! Jackson, In School With My Special Teachers introduces the reader to the role of special teachers and therapists who work in school with students. Based on a student Loren worked with in New York City, the story introduces us to Jackson and his family, his therapists, and his friends. "There were never any children's books that addressed who all these "special friends" were that came in and out of the classroom for that one student," recalls Loren. "I would visit a classroom to work with my specific student, and find all the children would flock over to play with us! It made for perfect social skill development opportunities, but the kids never quite knew why I or the therapists were visiting...nor did some of the other families or teachers!" Through this story, Loren answers some of these questions with kid-friendly illustrations and simple explanations. His book is available in print through Amazon.
Loren's second children's book was published in December of 2020. How to Make a Friend: A Manual for Friendship Social Skills (During a Pandemic or Not) is a clear and concise guide written for kids and young adults who may struggle with developing and maintaining friendships. Loren breaks down the "parts" of friendship, from its definition, all the way to a glossary of terms and space to take notes and add the names of safe adults to help through the process. Loren has updated the book to reflect the CDC's Covid-19 recommended safety guidelines. (Reading another person's expression while they are wearing a mask can be frustrating for some neurodiverse learners. Looking for other social clues is key!) Please see the companion/extension worksheets below for free download. (The Friendship Pledge and Friendship Certificate are Bothe available at his Teachers-Pay-Teachers storefront.
While Mommy Is Away is a story to help young children process the emotions that arise when a parent has to travel for work. Published in January of 2021, this is Loren's newest work based on a story he had illustrated years ago.
