We find that videotaping ourselves to help teach stories and skills works amazingly well. Our students LOVE seeing their teachers perform familiar stories. We videotaped ourselves acting out the story, Goldilocks and The Three Bears. Making this particular video was quite time consuming, but the rewards have been endless! (A basic knowledge of using iMovie helped.)
You understand best your familiarity with using your phone's video feature, but as educators we know learning starts at square one!
This is a quick, introductory tutorial on how to use iMovie. You can do some editing through Youtube, but LookLookLearn tends to simply record through phones, upload the videos to iMovie, edit the footage, and then post the saved project to Youtube. It's worth taking an hour just to try it all out. Enjoy!
